Newton's First Law
An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and velocity unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
You might not have any idea what Newton's First Law means. It sounds very complicated. However, think of it this way. If something is staying still, it wont move unless something moves it. If something is moving it will keep moving unless something stops it.

Animation
This animation is an example of Newtons First Law of Motion because the car is rolling down the ramp and it will keep moving until it hits something. In this case the car hit the wall and the guy flew out. Why did the guy fly out? He flew out because it was only the car that came to a stop. The guy kept going forward while his car didn't. This is why you should always wear a seatbelt in the car.
